Portland Rose Festival

Abby’s Closet also provides free formal dresses to several community organizations.  One example is our partnership with the Portland Rose Festival. For the past several years we have provided free formal dresses for the Rose Festival princesses and Rose Festival princess nominees. The dresses are used during official Rose Festival appearances.

Miss Portland-metro scholarship

This year, we partnered with the Miss Portland-Metro Scholarship competition and provided free formal dresses for any of their "Teen" or "Miss" candidates who were in need of one. The dresses are worn by the candidates during the Evening Gown/Red Carpet portion of the competition.
